Vintage Swedish Kilim Rug with Geometric Motifs
Size: 6 ft 7 in x 4 ft 4 in (2.01 m x 1.32 m)
This collectible mid-20th-century Swedish kilim, signed "GS," is a handwoven example of Scandinavian modernist textile design at its most refined — its symmetrical geometric layout, stylized floral forms, and warm earthy palette of terracotta, burnt orange, blush, and ivory evoking the glow of a Nordic sunset. Reflecting the Scandinavian design ideals of simplicity, functionality, and beauty, and made in a tradition of artist-signed studio weaving, this reversible flat-woven piece carries both artistic intentionality and strong collector appeal.Condition
Lot #332 is in very good condition. The pile is even with no visible tear or wear signs. The two ends are original and secured. The sides are secured. There is no dryness in the foundation. This rug is clean and floor ready.
