- Lot Description
Striking black-and-white Mid-Century Modern abstract composition depicting a stylized figure surrounded by sweeping linear forms. Executed on paper and signed and dated “’67” at the lower right; the artist’s signature is difficult to decipher. Presented under glass with a textured linen mat and simple wood frame. The reverse bears an indistinct handwritten notation and a possible “1966” date. Visible surface scuffs, smudges, spotting and age-related wear are present, with discoloration to the mat, wear to the frame and losses to the paper backing; please review all photographs for condition and details. Approx. frame size (in): 20.5 x 17.5 x 2, Approx. painting size (in): 15.5 x 12.5.
