- Lot Description
A superb and extensive Herend Hungary hand-painted porcelain service in the iconic Queen Victoria (VBO) pattern, richly decorated with vibrant butterflies, florals, and gilt accents. This elegant collection includes a wide range of forms such as dinner plates, cups and saucers, serving platters, covered dishes, teapots, and additional tableware, all exhibiting the refined craftsmanship for which Herend is renowned. The pieces feature delicate hand-painted polychrome decoration framed by green and gilt borders, with many displaying molded basket-weave textures and scalloped edges that enhance their visual appeal. Each example bears the Herend Hungary backstamp and “Handpainted” designation. Highly prized by collectors, the Queen Victoria pattern was originally created for Queen Victoria herself and remains one of Herend’s most celebrated designs. This grouping is ideal for both elegant entertaining and display, and presents in very good overall condition with light, age-appropriate wear.
