A matched pair of antique English silver letter openers, or bodkins, each featuring a slender, tapering blade and decorative shell-form terminals, one fitted with a suspension ring. Both pieces display a rich, aged patina and are struck with clear English hallmarks along the shafts, including traditional assay and maker’s marks. Their elegant, elongated forms and refined detailing suggest Georgian to Victorian era craftsmanship, combining both practical function and classic design. The pair remains in good antique condition with expected surface wear, light tarnish, and minor signs of age that enhance their authenticity.
