- Lot Description
This Art Deco figural ashtray features a stylized nude female figure seated on a geometric pedestal, extending one leg toward a recessed circular well fitted with a removable turquoise glass ashtray insert. The sculptural form, stepped base, and elongated proportions are characteristic of 1920s-1930s Art Deco design, combining functional smoking accessory use with decorative appeal. The figure and base appear to be cast metal or spelter with a painted finish, showing surface wear, paint loss, and scattered chips consistent with age and use, while the glass insert shows light wear and minor marks. Overall, an eye-catching and evocative period piece well suited for an Art Deco collection, vintage bar display, or decorative arts grouping. Approx. dimensions (in): 7.75 x 5 x 10.
