- Lot Description
A decorative figural sculpture depicting a lively satyr or Pan-like musician balanced on one hoof while playing a pair of pipes or flute, set on a circular stepped pedestal base. The figure is modeled with curled hair, expressive facial features, human torso, hoofed legs, and textured fur details, with a dark aged patinated metal surface and areas of brass/gold-toned wear from handling and age. The underside shows oxidation, surface residue, and an exposed central mounting point, consistent with age and display use. A charming classical revival decorative piece with strong movement and mythological character, suitable for a shelf, mantel, library, or collection of bronze and neoclassical figural works. Condition shows expected surface wear, patina variation, oxidation, and minor casting irregularities as pictured. Approx. dimensions (in): 9.25 x 4 x 5.
