- Lot Description
A finely potted Chinese porcelain covered bowl decorated in famille rose enamels, featuring elegant figural scenes of attendants in a garden landscape with stylized trees and a central bridge motif. The exterior and domed cover are painted in soft pastel tones of pink, green, blue, and iron red, characteristic of late Qing to Republic period porcelain. The interior is left plain, emphasizing the delicacy of the translucent white body. The base bears a red iron seal mark, likely apocryphal, within a recessed foot. The form includes a gently flared rim and a matching cover with a short, fluted knop. Condition shows minor wear consistent with age, including glaze imperfections, light firing flaws, and small chips to the rim and cover edge. A charming decorative example of Chinese export-style porcelain with traditional figural decoration. Approx. dimensions (in): 5 x 4.25 x 4.25.
