Colorful expressionist style oil painting on canvas depicting a seated figure resting forward with head in hands, dressed in a vivid harlequin-pattern sweater, set within an interior scene rendered in bold blue, green, and yellow tones. The composition features energetic brushwork and strong color contrasts, with the figure seated on a bed or sofa and wearing bright red slippers, creating a striking and emotive visual presence. Signed "Rove" in red paint at the lower right. Presented in a decorative gilt frame with beaded inner molding; the verso shows a stretched canvas mounted in a wooden frame.
