Striking signed oil painting by Fred Belli depicting an urban stairway leading toward a vivid red brick building, framed by angular blue-gray structures and yellow retaining walls. The work has a bold, expressive composition with heavy brushwork, rich surface texture, and a strong modernist feel, using deep purples, blacks, blues, yellows, and reds to create dramatic depth and perspective. Signed lower right and presented in a simple wood frame. The reverse shows a stretched canvas with wood stretcher supports and hanging wire. A colorful and graphic cityscape painting with appealing architectural subject matter and decorative presence. Approx. frame size (in): 34.5 x 27.5 x 1.25, Approx. painting size (in): 34 x 26.75.
