Antique American pocket watch by H. W. Co. Waltham, featuring a gilt mechanical movement signed "American Waltham Watch Co., Waltham, Mass." with visible serial number 4056092, dating the movement to the late 19th century. The watch is housed in an ornately engraved hinged case marked Waltham with interior case number 125994, featuring a decorative sunburst motif on the exterior and an interior locket compartment fitted with an original period portrait photograph. The white enamel dial displays Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds at six o'clock, blued steel hands, and is signed H. W. Co. Waltham. The movement shows fine engraved regulator details and typical age-related patina. Case exhibits surface wear and scratches consistent with age and use.
