A framed & signed limited edition maritime print by John Stobart titled The Statue of Liberty in a Panorama of New York Harbor in 1886, depicting a sweeping New York Harbor scene with the Statue of Liberty, sailing vessels, steamboats, and the Manhattan skyline in the distance. The lower margin identifies harbor landmarks including Hudson River, Trinity Church, Manhattan Island, Lower Bay, Brooklyn Bridge, East River, and Governor’s Island. Published by Maritime Heritage Prints, Inc. in 1986 from the original painting, this example is pencil signed by the artist and numbered 787/950, with the image also bearing Stobart’s printed signature and copyright date. Presented under glass in a gilt-trimmed wood frame with fabric matting; the backing paper shows age wear, tears, and punctures, while the print presents attractively overall.
