- Lot Description
A striking and substantial carved wooden phallic sculpture, executed in a dense, richly grained exotic hardwood, possibly rosewood or a similar species. The piece features a smooth, highly polished surface that highlights the natural figuring and tonal variation of the wood, ranging from deep chocolate browns to warmer amber hues. The form is bold and sculptural, mounted on an integral circular base, giving it a strong presence as a decorative or ethnographic object. Visible age-related characteristics include natural checking, surface wear, and drying cracks, particularly toward the upper section, which add to its authenticity and character.
