- Lot Description
A decorative pair of signed Chinese porcelain vases comprising two distinct forms and palettes, each executed in traditional Qing dynasty style. The first is a tall baluster vase with flared neck, finely painted in famille rose enamels with shaped reserves depicting birds, flowers, and scholarly motifs, all set against a dense geometric ground with iron-red borders; the underside bears a blue six-character mark. The second is a rounded blue and white vase decorated with intricate floral scrollwork and cartouches enclosing landscape scenes, the base also bearing an underglaze blue mark. Both examples display careful hand-painted detail and classic motifs inspired by earlier imperial wares, making them attractive decorative pieces for collectors of Chinese ceramics. Condition consistent with age and use, including minor surface wear and interior residue. One vase has small chip on the rim. Approx. biggest vase dimensions (in): 9.5 x 4.25 x 4.25.
