- Lot Description
Handcrafted Native American style pottery bowl of shallow form with flared rim and small circular foot, decorated in earthy tones of ochre, sienna, and dark brown. The interior features a striking geometric design composed of radiating triangular panels with linear and stepped motifs, while the exterior displays vertical banding in alternating light and dark pigments. The bowl retains a matte surface with visible hand-coiled construction and natural mineral slip decoration. Overall good condition with age-related surface wear and scattered paint loss, including a visible area of loss to the exterior, consistent with handling and age. An attractive example of Southwestern-inspired pottery, well suited for display. Approx. dimensions (in): 3.75 x 8 x 8.25.
