- Lot Description
Salvador Dalí (1904–1989), attributed, As You Like It / Much Ado About Shakespeare, signed and numbered engraving from a limited edition of 150, depicting a graceful female figure rendered in Dalí’s distinctive flowing, surrealist linework. Executed in warm reddish-brown tones, the composition captures the artist’s celebrated interpretation of Shakespearean themes and literary characters. The print is pencil signed in the lower right and numbered in the lower left margin, presented in a frame and displaying well. Condition appears good with light age-related wear and minor handling to the frame consistent with display and age. A desirable example of Dalí’s Shakespeare-inspired graphic work, offered from a private collection. Approx. frame size (in): 19 x 15 x 1.25, Approx. painting size (in): 8.5 x 6.25.
