- Lot Description
A striking signed studio pottery bottle vase featuring a rounded ovoid body, narrow tapered neck, and repeating vertical ribbed decoration in raised relief. The vessel is finished in a warm mottled glaze of ochre, cream, rust red, brown, and dark charcoal accents, giving it a richly textured mid-century modern look. The incised rib pattern encircles the body and shoulder, with cream glaze pooling along the raised ridges for strong visual contrast. The underside bears a hand-painted artist signature and an old paper label remnant. A decorative and collectible ceramic piece with appealing form, surface movement, and earthy glaze variation, suitable for display as a standalone accent or within a studio pottery collection. Condition shows expected age-related surface wear, glaze variation, and minor firing irregularities consistent with handmade pottery. Approx. dimensions (in): 11 x 6.25 x 6.25.
