An original World War II German Luftwaffe officer’s dagger, complete with its scabbard and period hanger, manufactured by Arthur Schüttelhofer & Co., Solingen. This classic second pattern Luftwaffe dagger features the iconic crossguard with detailed outstretched eagle clutching a swastika, paired with a distinctive amber-colored ribbed grip wrapped with twisted wire. The pommel bears the Luftwaffe insignia, complementing the overall design. The blade is marked with the Arthur Schüttelhofer & Co. Solingen stamp, confirming its production by this recognized maker, and shows honest age-related wear and patina consistent with period use. The scabbard retains its original fittings and finish, showing typical wear, and is accompanied by a double hanger with metal hardware and fabric straps exhibiting expected age and use.
