Offered in this lot we have a Dietz Acme inspector lantern originating from the early to mid 1900's. The lantern shows a all metal construction aside from the glass globe at the center. The lamp was used by inspectors to check trains for damage or maintenance issues before it left the station. The piece is marked in a number of areas first being the back of the lantern is marked "Dietz ACME Inspector lamp New York. U.S.A.". The lamp is in good condition overall with a even layer of rust across its surface. The lamp measures 13 1/2" tall by 8" wide.
