Overall, this is a very fine example of a pre-1899 Smith & Wesson Double-Action .38. The pistol shows 80%+ blue'd finish retention, fantastic grips, and a nice naturally aged, uncleaned patina. Mechanically the revolver shows good condition, with a strong action, which is in good time, strong cylinder lock-up, and a good overall bore, with strong rifling, and only some darkness, which would clean out well. This revolver - Manufactured between 1884-95 qualifies as an Antique Hand Gun, and does NOT require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 298679.
