Federal Figured Mahogany Tilt-Top Dish Top Tea Table
Possibly Southern New Jersey, 1780-1810
Cracks, chips, surface distress.
Provenance: Bought from the Decker family near Alloways Creek, Salem County NJ about 1980 by Charles A. Sterling, and kept in his private collection until his death in 2008;
Peter Eaton, Newbury, Massachusetts at the Manchester, New Hampshire Show, 2013

Overall good condition, old dry surface. Highly figured one board. Some stains to top and imperfections to finish. Chip to edge of dish top. Crack to one side of pintol hinge. Old large chip/loss to top of bawster/standard at juncture with birdcage. Some chips to pads under snake feet.
