French Provincial Grain Painted Morbier Clock
Late 19th C. Dial signed Leon Fleuret a Gracay.
Surface distress, wear.
89 1/2 x 18 1/2 x 9 in. (227.3 x 47 x 22.9 cm.)Condition
We do not warrant movements; therefore, we do not check for working order. Both waist and bonnet door are glazed. Has two weights and a pendulum. Lacks winding key. Scattered abrasion, wear, and losses to painted surface consistent with age and use. Small loss to enamel on dial below VII. Minor hairlines to enamel dial. Old loss to portion of proper right side cornice. Discoloration to painted floral decoration on base panel. Minor worm damage and associated losses to back edge of case. Some shrinkage cracks to case sides and waist door. Lacking lower portion of backboard. Otherwise, good condition and has a nice presence.
