The Temple of Flora
Hand-Colored Aquatint Engravings
Comprising, "The Winged Passion Flower" and "The Quadrangular Passion Flower".
Sight: 20 1/2 x 15 1/2 in. (52.1 x 39.4 cm.), Frame: 29 x 24 in. (73.7 x 61 cm.)Condition
Appear to be original hand-colored aquatint engravings.
Quadrangular: Not laid down. Some light discoloration, mat burn and scattered foxing. Light surface wear. Minor handling creases at edges.
Winged passion: Light discoloration, mat burn and scattered foxing. Large noticeable foxing mark/stain on center right margin. Not laid down. Small tear to edge at lower corner.
Opposite lower corner with fold/crease mark. Each bear an old collectors stamp initialed “JPM 1928” (?). Verso with old tape residue from previous mat attachment. Otherwise, good condition.
