Award winning Master oil painter Helen Sharp Potter has been painting the landscapes and seascapes of Nantucket and New England for over 40 years. An island resident since 1985, Helen has captured the beauty of Nantucket eloquently with her lively brushwork and vibrant color.

Helen studied primarily under her husband Ellis W. Potter, a graduate of Pratt Institute with an illustrious painting career. She is an award winning member of the Salmagundi Club, the Rockport Art Association, the North Shore Art Association and Artist Association of Nantucket. She paints both "plein air" and in the studio, and has taught many students during her years as an artist. Her paintings are in numerous collections both corporate and private, through out the world.
