Pennsylvania Chippendale cherry tall case clock, ca. 1790, the broken arch bonnet with original flame finials centering on carved rosettes above an applied carved drapery, enclosing an eight-day works with painted face, inscribed George Striepy, retaining its original historic finish, 92 3/4" h. This clock is illustrated in Jerome Redfearn Indiana Silversmiths, Clock Makers, and Watch Makers 1779-1900. A copy of which is included in this lot. Provenance: Mr. Thomas Attix; Mr. James Glazer.
