Pennsylvania Chippendale walnut high chest, ca. 1765, the upper section with five short and four long drawers, flanked by fluted quarter columns, resting on a base with a scalloped skirt, supported by cabriole legs and terminating in ball and claw feet, retaining an old historic surface and its original brass hardware, 80 1/2" h., 41 1/2" w. Provenance: The Collection of Harriet Robbins, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Original brasses. Nice old surface. Poplar and chestnut secondaries. Scratch to right side. A few old small lip losses. Overall very good condition.
