[ABOLITION]. STURGE, Joseph (1793?1859). A Visit to the United States in 1841. Three Variant Copies. Including one English edition and two American editions detailing the English Quaker?s pre-civil war account of anti-slavery activities in the northern United States. [With] London: Hamilton Adams, and Co., 1842. Pages unopened. Rebacked in green cloth. 8vo. [And two published by] Boston: Dexter S. King, 1842. With different blind-stamped bindings, each containing prefaces to the English and American editions. 12mo. Condition varies. Worn with light soiling, toning, creasing, and rubbing; scattered ownership marks. Generally good or better.
