Hemingway, Ernest. Across the River and into the Trees. New York: Charles Scribner?s Sons, 1950. First American edition, first state dust jacket. Original black cloth stamped in gilt, unclipped pictorial dust jacket. All points for first state present (Scribner?s ?A? and seal on copyright page, yellow lettering to spine panel). 8vo. Tear with loss to top edge of front panel slightly affecting the top of ?G? in ?Hemingway,? light chipping and creasing to edges, back panel creased with old adhesive stain to closed tear at lower edge; still a handsome copy. Hanneman 23a.
