Africa by Clipper / Pan American World Airways. Circa 1950s. A portrait of a leopard is surrounded by vignettes of a safari hunt, traditional huts, dancers, and a cityscape; bamboo styled lettering. 42 x 28?. Linen backed. Small area over-painted lower right; touched-up minor repairs in the margins. B+. Art of the Airways, p. 112: ?Pan American gained African experience flying for Air Transport Command in World War II. After the war it established service down to Johannesburg, South Africa, via the Azores and stops in West Africa, via the Azores and stops in West Africa.?
