ALMON, John (1737?1805), editor. Biographical, Literary, and Political Anecdotes, of Several of the Most Eminent Persons of the Present Age. London: printed for T. N. Longman and L. B. Seeley, 1797. 3 volumes, 8vo. Contemporary calf re?backed in modern tan calf, raised bands, spine label gilt titled (boards rubbed, author?s name written in a contemporary hand to each title). Almon was considered the primary source for British publications concerning American political and military affairs throughout the Revolution.
