Earhart, Amelia. Amelia Earhart Signed ?Fun of It? First Edition. New York: Brewer, Warren & Putnam, 1932. First edition. Publisher?s cloth, original dust-jacket (significantly torn and chipped). Signed by Earhart on the frontispiece page. Plates. 8vo.[x], 218pp, [1]. Lacks phonograph record in rear sleeve. Accompanying the book are two copies of a handbill for an in-person appearance of Earhart (11 x 8 1/8?), and a stack of 1930s newspaper clippings reporting on Earhart. This book comes from the Harlow-Clark family, early settlers and founders of Marquette, Michigan. The signature was obtained at an appearance Earhart made in Marquette, and most of the clippings are from the city?s newspaper, the Marquette Mining Journal. It is uncommon to find Earhart?s signature on the frontispiece; in most cases, she signed her name on the front flyleaf.
