- Lot Description
American Manufactory Faro Playing Cards. New York: Samuel Hart & Co., 1849. 52. Excellent. An unusual and very early Samuel Hart Faro deck with early AS and different one-way courts. Also note that the word ?Manufactory? is a different spelling than the four decks below. Hochman NY30. All of the decks marked ?American Manufactory? or ?American Manufacture? were most likely seconds that Hart could sell at a discount. It is also possible they were marked and Hart did not want their name associated with a marked deck.
