Contemporary calf, in a modern leather-backed marbled clam-shell box (lacks three leaves (pp. 197-202); scattered closed tears and chipping to page edges). Provenance: ex-Newberry Library (Chicago), bookplate. SCARCE. Evans 33294; Sabin 1163. Contains the first American printing of the music to ?The Anacreontic Song,? which Francis Scott Key adapted to the United States? national anthem, ?The Star-Spangled Banner.?
