[AMERICANA]. Group of 4 Nineteenth-Century First Editions in 6 Volumes. [V.p., 19th century]. 8vos. Illustrated as noted. All but one in contemporary publisher's bindings (some general wear, soiling, some with ownership markings or notes). Generally good or better. Titles include: Indian Sketches, Taken During an Expedition to the Pawnee Tribes by John T. Irving, Jr. (brother to Washington Irving ? 2 volumes, title-page of volume 1 trimmed at top, no loss to text), Six Months in America by Godfrey T. Vigne (2 volumes, illustrated, both volumes rebacked in modern cloth, hinges repaired, a few leaves re-inserted), History of Pennsylvania Hall, which was Destroyed by a Mob, On the 17th of May, 1838 (hand-colored frontispiece and title-page loose, spine chipped, front board nearly detached), Corderius Americanus. A Discourse on the Good Education of Children? by the Rev. Cotton Mather? To Which is Now Added a Selection from the Poems of Cheever's Manuscript (bound in modern blue binding, bound without wrappers ? facsimile leaf of Cheever's ms. is present).
