[AMERICANA]. OLDMIXON, John (1673?1742). Het Britannische Ryk in Amerika. Amsterdam: Rudolf and Gerard Wetstein, 1721. 4to. Title printed in red and black with printer?s device, engraved head?pieces, one engraved fold-out. Modern imitation wood over boards (lacking eight folding engraved maps). Provenance: Joseph Dunninger (bookplate); J. Camyns (signature). EARLY DUTCH TRANSLATION of the English text with additional accounts of coffee and coffee plantations not included in the English edition, with one of the first fold-out images of the coffee plant printed in Europe and discusses the history, geography, population, and economy of North America with a focus on the regions of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, New England, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, and Hudson Bay.
