Attica 1971 / Organize & Struggle. Buffalo: Black Workers' Congress/Octobergraphics, ca. 1971. Offset lithograph poster, backed on board. Constructivist design depicts the wall of Attica Correctional Facility dripping with blood, an American flag, and a Black arm breaking free of shackles. Damp-staining around edges; some skinning at lower and upper left. B. RARE; no other copies of this poster located. 21 x 16". This poster was published by the Black Workers' Congress, listing the group's address in Buffalo. The group was founded in 1971 and composed mainly of Black industrial workers. It helped organize a rally-demonstration in Buffalo to support the Attica prison rioters.
