Publisher?s blue boards, spine lettered in gilt (some rubbing, bumping to binding); publisher?s printed dust jacket (one tape repair to jacket verso, some sunning to spine, some rubbing, light wear to jacket). FIRST EDITION, SIGNED BY 19 ACE FIGHTER PILOTS on the front endleaves, many of whom flew missions with the Air Volunteer Group in England, including Robert J. Rankin, Steve Pisanos, Randy Reeves, Arval J. Roberson, Thomas E. Maloney (of ?Maloney?s Pony? fame), Jim Moorehead, ?Tex? Hill, Bruce W. Carr, Ed Rector, Don Lopez, and more. From the collection of ace pilot James W. Cannon with his embossed stamp on the title-page.
