Group of Three Vintage Postcards (Including one Real Photo Card) Featuring Women Baseball Players, including: a real photo postcard of three members of the Marin County, CA Tomales Base Ball Club. [1915]. 3 ? x 5 ??. Front of card with contemporary inkstamp identifying the team, verso with manuscript text, inkstamps, stamped and canceled. And ?All American Ladies Base Ball Club? Postcard. [Ca. 1910]. Portrait of nine members of the team, including ?Carrie Nation? (actually Mae Arbaugh (1884-1941) - some female baseball players would use pseudonyms). 3 ? x 5 ??. And ?Weiss All-Stars of Cleveland, Ohio? Postcard. [Ca. 1905]. Portrait of 12 male players or managers, an unidentified female, and Alta Weiss, the pitcher (1890-1964), and a sensation who drew massive crowds to watch her play (she later used her earnings to attend medical school and became a doctor). All of the uniforms shown on this postcard state: ?Weiss A S?. 3 ? x 5 ??. Some toning, rubbing, light occasional thumbsoiling to cards, all have pencil or ink handwriting on the verso of the cards, and the Tomales and Weiss cards are stamped and canceled.
