[BASEBALL]. [ORIGINAL ARTWORK]. Group of Six Pen and Ink Newspaper Drawings of Sportswriters and Other Subjects. [Chicago: ca. 1930s-1960s]. Drawings by various artists (two are identified) on illustration board. Sizes range from 9 x 12 ?? to 7 ? x 8?. Some general wear, soiling, editorial markings. A very good group. Drawings include: portrait of sportswriter William Gleason by Stejskal, portrait of sportswriter Leo Fischer, unsigned (possibly Stejskal), caricature of bandleader Paul Whiteman by ?E/Z?, Rescue of the crew of the Andrea Doria by Nathaniel P. Steinberg, ?Chicago Hospitality? by Jim Dobbins, ?I like the Windy City from the very first sight?? by an unknown artist.
