[BASEBALL]. Original Tinted Tintype of a Women?s Baseball Team. [Ca. 1870s]. Tintype depicts six women in nineteenth-century long dresses, but with matching hats, one woman about to pitch a ball, another woman with a bat. 3 ? x 2 ??. Framed under glass. Frame size 10 x 6 ??. Some occasional wear, soiling to tintype, minor wear to frame. Excellent. No other tableau tintype image of women playing baseball is known. From the Mark Rucker Collection.
