[BINDING] BRAND, John (1744-1806). Observations on Popular Antiquities. London: Chatto & Windus, 1877. 8vo. Frontispiece, illustrated. Full calf with gilt arabesque, titles gilt stamped, raised bands, ornate gilt scrollwork in compartments (rubbing to extremities); marbled endpapers and page edges. Includes chapters on divinations and various sports. Provenance: Robert Rupell (inscription).
