[BINDINGS]. KINGLAKE, A. W. (1809-1891). The Invasion of the Crimea: Its Origin and an Account of Its Progress Down to the Death of Lord Raglan. London: William Blackwood and Sons, 1877-78. 7 volumes, 8vos. Illustrated with numerous fold-out maps, most with hand-colored accents. Contemporary half tan calf over marbled boards, spines tooled in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, green and burgundy gilt morocco?lettering labels, marbled endleaves and text block edges (spines uniformly sunned, some light wear, soiling to binding, some foxing in text). Provenance: John Mitchell Inn Pole Park House (bookplates and inscriptions by previous owners). Sixth edition.
