[BIRD & BULL PRESS] WOLFE, Richard J., artist. On Improvements in Marbling the Edges of Books and Paper. Newtown, PA: Bird & Bull Press, 1983. Oblong 16mo. LIMITED EDITION, number 160 of 350 copies. Illustrated with 14 original marbled samples (light color offsetting) by Wolfe tipped-in to unpaginated leaves at rear. Publisher?s quarter blue morocco over marbled boards, spine titled in gilt (mild sunning at ends of spine); FINE. A reprinted account of the first ?American Treatise on Marbling? that appeared in the April 1828 issue of the Journal of the Franklin Institute.
