BLITZ, Antonio (1810 ? 77). Sig. Blitz Jun. ? Five Italian Dinner Plates. Hull: Thomas Topping, 1827. Letterpress handbill for a variety show at the Humber-Street Theatre, Hull featuring Blitz's turn with the plate juggling stunt that made him (and other members of his family) famous. 11 x 6". Dawes label to verso.Despite the billing here as ?Blitz Junior," this bill most likely advertises a performance by Antonio. His father, Abraham, also performed as Signor Blitz, but it was Antonio who became the more famous of the two, and who was initially billed as ?Junior."
