[BLOW BOOK]. Bilder-Zauberei fur Jung und Alt. Berlin: A. Sala, ca. 1870s. A magical volume whose contents appear to change each time the magician blows on it. Eight changes (alphabets; wild and domestic animals; playing cards; silhouettes; blank pages; domestic scenes; and others). Hand-colored title page and illustrations. Original linen wrappers (spine perished, chipping at edges from use), housed in original slipcover box with paper title label. 12mo. With instruction slip printed in English, German, and French. Flyleaf signed by an owner, Alex Kraft, 1 January [18]77. Scarce.
