[London: Printed for & Sold by the author at his Botanic Garden, 1777-1798.] Large folios, volumes 5 and 6 (out of 6). Illustrated with 423 engravings of which only 11 are handcolored. Bound without text pages or titles. Approximately 17 ? x 11?. Bound in later half green cloth over marbled boards, spines stamped in gilt (some wear to bindings, hinges starting, plates various folio sizes, some toned, folded, creased, occasionally soiled). Very good. FIRST EDITIONS OF THESE TWO VOLUMES. With the ownership signatures of W. Masters and 2 letters affixed to the fp of volume 5 indicating ownership of H.J. Giraud (1817-88; botanist of Faversham).
