New York: Doubleday, [2003]. 8vo. 454 pp. Publisher?s black cloth backstrip over black boards, spine stamped in gilt, publisher?s unclipped (?$24.95?) dust jacket (minor rubbing to binding; one small tear to jacket spine near the bottom, some light rubbing to jacket). Near fine. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING, INSCRIBED BY BROWN ON THE TITLE-PAGE: ?Merry Christmas Dan Brown?. This is the second book in the series of thrillers featuring Harvard Symbologist Robert Langdon, and was a runaway best seller. It is the basis of the 2006 film of the same name directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks, Audrey Tatou, Ian McKellen, and Alfred Molina.
