HOUDINI, Harry (Erik Weisz, 1874 – 1926). Buried Alive! Egyptian Fakirs Outdone. Master Mystifier. Houdini. Cleveland: Otis Litho., ca. 1924. Eight-sheet color lithographed billboard poster advertising a sensational stunt that Houdini would never perform – his escape from a coffin buried under mounds of heavy earth. Houdini’s head floats above the Egyptian scene featuring The Sphinx. Linen backed. 109 x 89”. Expert restoration in upper third and at sheet breaks, a few spots of wear; A-/B+.
