BURROUGHS, Edgar Rice (1875?1950). Tarzan Triumphant. Tarzana: Edgar Rice Burroughs Inc., [1932]. 8vo. 5 black and white plates including frontispiece by ERB?s nephew, Studley O. Burroughs. Publisher?s pebbled royal blue cloth with red lettering to upper cover and spine, red top edge (light sunning to spine, book seller?s ticket and ownership inscription to ffep); original dust jacket with ?$2.00? price on spine. FIRST EDITION of Burroughs? seventeenth story recounting the adventures of Tarzan. A FINE COPY IN A PRISTINE DUST JACKET. Currey p. 93; Heins TTr?1 (T17); Zeuschner 783. In 1932, Kingsport Press wrote to ERB suggesting that they could improve the appearance of the ERB titles by switching to the new ?embossed? (pebbled) finish instead of the ?vellum? finish as seen previously. This was the first ERB title to incorporate this new ?embossed? look.
