BURROUGHS, Edgar Rice (1875?1950).?The Outlaw of Torn.?Chicago: A. C. McClurg, [1927]. 8vo. No illustrations, as issued. Original full red cloth, upper cover and spine stamped in gilt (spine toned, gilt on spine partially lacking, boards toned and soiled, some wear to binding, text toned and soiled, endleaves soiled and offset, bookplate on ffep); original dust jacket (jacket toned, dampstained, edgeworn, chipped, a few tears, soiled). FIRST EDITION of Burroughs? second novel which took nearly thirteen years to get published, originally appearing as a five?part serial in 1914. In the SCARCE DUST JACKET. Currey, p. 91; Zeuschner pp. 229?230.
