CAMPBELL, Shane (American, b. 1978). A Group of Four Hand-Carved Angel Sculptures and an Inscribed Book. [20th century]. Four of this Folk Artist?s characteristic hand-carved, hand-painted wooden African-American female Angel figures. Sizes range from 12 ?? to 23?. One figure is lacking her wings, another has her wings, but they are loose (the other two have attached wings). And Folk Carving with Shane Campbell. Text written and photography by Jeffrey B. Snyder. Atglen, PA: Shiffer Publishing Ltd., [1998]. 4to. Illustrated. Perfect-bound wrappers (some minor rubbing). Fine. INSCRIBED BY THE ARTIST ON THE INNER FRONT WRAPPER: ?To my friends Cease + Paul of ?Folkworks? - the first gallery I was ever in - Shane Campbell?. A nice group.
